Our Story
A platform built in the Caribbean, for the Caribbean, to make finding the people and services you need simple.
CariBoard started with a frustration of my own. Whether I needed a reliable electrician, a plumber, or a product I couldn't find nearby, it nearly always came down to who I happened to know. Across the Caribbean, so much still moves by word of mouth. That works, until it doesn't.
I wanted to change that, so I started building. The first version of CariBoard was simply a way to find and unify local resources in one place, so getting help depended on what people offered, not just on your personal network.
That was over five years ago. Since then, the idea kept growing through conversations. The more I talked with people who were interested, the more it expanded. They didn't just want a way to be found, they talked about taking orders, managing appointments, and handling bookings. So those became part of the platform. The CariBoard you see today is the sum of those conversations.
Most of what's here exists because someone asked for it. I have a background in development and problem solving, and I build things when they're worth building.
Online radio
Someone wondered where they could listen to local radio online. So CariBoard has a radio player you can keep running while you browse.
Free tools
Someone needed a password generator. So CariBoard has a small set of free tools. They run entirely on your device, so they cost nothing to offer and nothing to use.
Built for trust
Business owners were tired of no-shows. So features like verified accounts and pay-first booking grew out of those conversations.
CariBoard takes no cut of your transactions. Not a percentage, not a fee. None.
That's a deliberate choice. This was never about getting rich, which is also why pricing stays low for a platform that does this much. More than that, I don't want to hold anyone's money, or carry the weight that comes with it. Your customers pay you directly, through your own payment provider. You pay CariBoard for the features you use, never for a share of what you earn.
As the platform has grown, the price of some features may change to reflect everything it now does. But the core will always be free. That part is not going to change.
The goal was never to be the biggest. It's to change how business and technology work together across the region, and to keep the basics within everyone's reach.
